Hello people. Recently been thinking alot. Thought about giving up a heck alot of things. But so far, there are only a few things that I really want to give up ASAP: an education, friends, and life. Most likely guessing that those are the most important things I shouldn't give up, but what choice am i to have?

Education
I'm giving up an education due to my loan not coming into the school. because it hasnt come in, I cant really do anything about it. Pretty much stuck not going. I want to go, but i cant. There is like one week for this to be all taken cared of, but I doubt it will be. When i most want to go to school, i cant. It would be nice if someone was rich on DA and willing to spare me some cash as a grant or scholarship or even a private loan. So far right now, i'm aiming on working on my new account on DA (please visit: [link]) There are still nothing uploaded there but it's solely to sell some stuff to people on DA. The entire process will most likely be done in cash though...There is like no where i can cash checks or money orders where i live now...at least most of them are like miles away =< but the stuff i will be selling will be quite nice like jewelry, books, manga, anime, etc so i hope people come support me

Friends
I'm giving these up because I dont feel i have that many friends here or there at all. Some double cross me. Some are not even worth having. Others just up and leave. etc etc etc. Why bother being with people that dont even see you as a friend.

Life
Giving this up simply because I've lost the desire to live completely. I wish I could feel like living but right now, it's really hard to have the desire. Been having pounding headaches, fights, disappearing everywhere, feeling like i dont belong, drinking, crying, etc etc

Blah. It's like if i want to talk to someone about it, I really cant, because i dunno how to explain it or put it...and no one is there so i could hug them either to just let it all out. It's very frustrating! >.<

HEY GIRL! NOW YOU STOP THAT!! I know life SUCKS sometimes, but we have to keep going! Easier said than done, I'm sure. Sorry to hear about your school situation - that REALLY sucks! What type of loan(s) did you apply for and were they through Federal Govt? My husband has been getting loans with no problem for years - he's going for teacher certification now. Anyway, even at my age it seems that out of all the friends I "thought" I had - I don't really. Go figure. BUT the friends I have made on DA are GREAT!! I haven't been able to comment on all deviations - have too many - don't take that personal - I am still your friend!! Don't give up on everything - hang in there - hold your head up and SHIT ON THEM ALL HAHA!!

its a well proven fact that life sucks... sad as it may seem for me to say this in lieu of any actual advice... ive found that you cant really advise anyone on this matter...or maybe im just slightly uncaring.. whichever i stick to my theory.

education, yeah that might have to be put off.. i have a friend who went to school to be a mechanic, work on cars and shit... well when he finished his basic courses, he found that no one wanted to hire him because they needed experience... so he got another job... actually im not sure how relevent this is.. but well there you have it anyway...

and weeding out the bad friends is a good thing. sorta like taking out the trash.

I really can't add much more...

And as for your education... I took off several years before I finished... I did the forever program... I was 28 before I graduated ... And for that matter my dad got his degree the year before I did...

On the plus side? Now you are able to apply to all kinds of jobs (summer seasonal type jobs) And you'd be able to show up before most of the kids in College would... You can try something new ... do a job in something you thought about getting your education in without having to hold the degree in that field.

Thats how I really funded my expensive habit of college... summer seasonal work. I did fish counting one year in Alaska, tree and road counting one year as well as ATV riding in Utah, I worked in Yellowstone National Park for 2 summers... (oh yeah, road counting was for Civil Engineers...) Admittedly I have had some really good bosses...

So don't give up. It'll just take a bit longer than expected.

:( I'm so sorry you are going through this angst. I'm still here. Sometimes life just keeps throwing :poo: at us. It becomes a question of outliving it. I'm particularly sorry about your education as it is so important. Maybe it will all work out OK in the long run. At least, that is my hope and wish for you.

Summer seasonals.. if you are not too afraid of jumping and doing something wacky.

[link]

Do their search Engine.. I would suggest this for one, the feds are hiring all kinds of people for summer help. Get your resume together and look through it. Look for things in the announcements that sound like they could work. They also have jobs for the summer people with the blm.

[link] <<BLM

The only thing with any of these jobs ... you'd need to get there. So just keep that in mind. Find the ones that would specifically say :government housing may be available: <<especially if you are jumping states. Most of the Fed jobs have some sort of student programs. If you plan on going back to college in the fall, look hard at the Student temp jobs... Most summer jobs can make housing available. With the BLM site... you'll need to go to the Preregistration link... then you'll follow the directions there...

And the other varying federal government sites will be shown on the USAJobs site. They will also show you how to apply.

Want to try being an archaeological technician? BLM, US Forest Service and those kinds of jobs can be had there..

My suggestion is apply.. the worst they can tell you is no.
